The Cholesterol Myth

OK, it's time to start clearing up some myths. There are so many of them, in all areas of life, the mind boggles when you start to understand them.

Generally, a myth starts from a commercial opportunity. Take the myth of cholesterol as an example. In the early 50's, a young researcher from Russia, published a paper [repeating a similar study carried out nearly 40 years earlier], describing the effects of feeding cholesterol to - rabbits! Cholesterol added to the vegetarian diet of rabbits, caused - surprise surprise - atheromas - plaques that block arteries. Now we knew that cholesterol is found only in animal foods, such as meat, cheese, eggs and butter.

By the time someone woke up to the fact that feeding animal fats to purely vegetarian animals like rabbits, would produce misleading results, it was too late. The American Oil companies - edible oils that is - cottoned onto this and started their heavyweight campaigns to 're-educate' us to a 'healthy diet' that would line their pockets. One could even conclude that initially, their motives were pure and without avarice. It's when the real truth started to come out, their greed and heavy hand become obvious.

I won't bore you with the whole miserable history of how the fat was pulled over our eyes, it would take too long. I would like to bring just a few facts to your attention:

1] Cholesterol is not generally the cause of coronary heart disease [CHD] or myocardial infraction [MI] - blood clot leading to obstruction of a coronary artery.

2] CHD as a cause of death has increased by many times 100% only since we have stopped eating animal fats and

3] Increased consumption of plasticised unsaturated oils not only led to a huge increase of CHD and MI but also ties in with numerous other dis-eases, including cancer. You see, most of the trans isomers in modern hydrogenated fats are new to human physiology. In fact, TOXIC!

4] These new oils and margarines show up also in decline of calcium and magnesium levels in the blood, utilise vitamins and minerals inefficiently, promote poor growth and poor bone development and, create more cholesterol per unit in dry matter in the aorta, liver, muscle and coronary arteries!, suggesting that the cholesterol is transferred from the blood to other tissues.

5] Studies show that "vegetable oils predispose to cancer and animal fats seem to protect against cancer". [M G Enig, University of Maryland]

6] Associations like the National Association of Margarine Manufacturers and the Institute of Shortening and Edible Oils keep careful watch to ensure reports like these are kept under lock and key - in fact, there have literally been admissions that Department of Agriculture food data had been sabotaged by the margarine lobby. Well, we could keep going forever with these points, however, perhaps the point has been made. Misinformation, due to greed.

YOUR DOCTOR

Now your doctor probably will not agree with the preceding or with the following conclusions. It is however, not your doctor's fault! He can only know what he has been told. He is given 'irrefutable evidence' to the contrary, regarding this and all other matters that involve chemicals/money. In fact, if he or she does realise the truth, they ostracize, take away license to practice, basically ruin any 'renegade' doctor.

So - what is the real story?

The liver - the bile in fact is the key to controlling cholesterol.

However, before we go into details about this, it is also important to understand that, by itself, cholesterol is not dangerous to your health! Numerous studies have shown that cholesterol does not cause heart disease. Radical? Not really.

For example, the 1968 International Atherosclerosis Project, in which 22,000 corpses from 14 nations were examined for plaques in arteries, showed the same degree of buildup [of cholesterol (atheroma)] in all parts of the world - in populations that suffered from a great deal of heart disease and, in populations that had very little or none at all!

A 1964 study, carried out by De Bakey, the famous heart surgeon, involving 1,700 patients, showed that "those with low cholesterol levels were just as likely to have blocked arteries as those with high levels.

In 1968, Dr Irving Page, under the auspices of the American Heart Association [AHA], with great media attention, carried out a pilot study, involving 2,000 men - half on the so-called Prudent Diet of corn-oil, margarine, fish, chicken and cold cereal [with low fat milk]. The other half on 'normal meat and potatoes and butter. The result? Exactly the same number of deaths in both groups. Further tests were abandoned "for reasons of cost". The chairman, Dr Irving Page, died of a heart attack.

No, cholesterol does not cause coronary heart disease. In fact, enough evidence exists to satisfy me, if not the 'experts', that the alternative, toxic foods, designed to fight cholesterol are in fact causing heart disease - as well as many other diseases.

HULDA CLARK ON LIVER

So, back to our liver and bile. I do not agree with Dr Hulda Clark on everything - in fact there are many areas where we disagree - however, in this case, she is totally correct in my opinion.

"Your liver is the chemical manufacturing plant of your body. It pulls in the food from the intestine and makes the body's necessary chemicals from them. Toxic items are changed chemically into non-toxic items that the kidney is able to eliminate into the bladder. The liver also makes bile and sends toxic items, calcium and fats to be absorbed. Fatty things, cholesterol, must be made water soluble by the bile, for them to be able to leave the body with the urine. If the liver or bile do not work properly, if the bile ducts are blocked, toxicity and build up of fats occur!

If the liver isn't getting much bile to the intestine, fat is left in the bowel contents and the feces will float in the toilet bowl. This is one clue to bile duct blockage. Another is the colour - bile is bright green. Mixed with intestinal contents, it turns the bowel movement dark brown. If the bile is not arriving in the intestine, the feces will stay light coloured, even yellow or orange in extreme cases.

Since bile is loaded with cholesterol, this daily excretion of bile is a major method of keeping cholesterol levels low."

FIXING THE CAUSE

Cleansing the liver can get the bile flowing again, clearing the gall bladder. However, before a liver cleanse, it is important to get rid of parasites. You can use any and all methods your Health Food Store or Practitioner suggests, if you have not got rid of the parasites, they will not let the bile ducts clear.

If the problem is serious, you should only try one of the liver cleansing programs after at least 20 days of using Colloidal Silver and Black Walnut Hull Tincture. This is a very powerful method of getting rid of parasites like flatworms, roundworms and protozoa.

LOW CHOLESTEROL FOODS

The challenge now is to change our conditioned thinking - from fats, milk, butter, eggs etc., as being no good for us, to understanding that the so-called low cholesterol foods are really no good for us!

ENDOMETRIOSIS - PERIOD CRAMPS

For example, this is definitely the case if you suffer from uterine pain - endometriosis. This starts with painful cramps at period times, gets worse and worse until painkillers are necessary. The pain is caused by common flukes, a parasite. Clonorchis, a liver fluke or eurytrema, the pancreatic fluke. You can get rid of the flukes with Colloidal Silver and black walnut but the reason the fluke was able to get into the uterus in the first place is primarily due to 'low cholesterol' type foods! The toxicity, combined with the solvents present in these foods disarms the organ [uterus], allowing the flukes in.

MILK! Contrary to popular opinion, and perhaps having read up 'till now, it is starting to make some sense, milk, the full cream variety, is needed by all of us! It must be fill cream, at least 2% or more butterfat because the calcium in milk cannot be absorbed without at least this much fat! It takes bile to make calcium absorbable, yet milk with less than 2% butterfat does not trigger the gallbladder to empty it's bile at mealtime!

Where does the calcium go if it can't be absorbed? Into arthritis, rheumatism, stiff joints and many other malaise we can suffer from. So please don't get 'sucked in' by all the clever ads for skinny milks and such. Even if you are - well let's be blunt - FAT! I promise you that it is not from good milk and good foods!

If you don't tolerate milk, try a milk digestant tablet from your Health Food Store to go with it and start with only 1/4 cup at a time.

We need at least 3 cups of milk per day - not chocolate milk, not cheeses and not calcium tablets. Buttermilk will do, homemade yogurt is fine, as is goat milk. If you do not drink milk because it gives you mucous, try to anyway. Milk is too valuable to avoid.

Milk of course, also often contains salmonella and shigella bacteria as well as potential fluke parasite stages. Pasteurization does not kill all of them - again, contrary to popular opinion. You can either boil it to get rid of them or do as I do, only buy full cream milk in packets - in paper containers on the store shelf - these are sterile, yet have all the goodness left in them. Canned milk has solvent pollution, powdered milk has both solvent and bacterial pollution.

OK - we don't all need to go to this extreme - we will end up living in a plastic bubble if we, worry about everything. I am simply stating the facts so that you can be aware of them, should you need to be.

So - don't be scared - be aware!
