THE CAUSES OF ILL HEALTH

ARE ALL COLLOIDAL SILVER CREATED EQUAL?

We have been working with Colloidal Silver in RESEARCH, for over 20 years now. As you can imagine, during that time, we have experienced most things that one can. All things being equal, Colloidal Silver should be clear an dalmost without taste.

Yes, they are at it again. You may remember me mentioning in the first issue, what we went through with the TGA last year, culminating with us having to change the labels on our Colloidal Silver, removing ALL information as to what it was for, what it could do and how to take it. In other words, remove ALL therapeutic information/claims. Well, the TGA has written me a letter. Title: "Complaint in relation to Colloidal Silver". The letter goes on to explain that the 'complaint' is about—wait for it! - the LEAFLET we distribute free to all Health Food stores. THE LEAFLET! That simply explains what the Silver can do and how to take it. Well, they consider that this is not allowed, because it 'claims therapeutic uses' and as far as they are concerned, Colloidal Silver can only 'claim' a use for 'purification or treatment of drinking water' - period. Therefore, CS is considered 'an illegal therapeutic good'. The administration "respectfully requests that you remove all references to the product being for therapeutic benefit . ." and "Failure to respond may result in enforcement action without further notice". Then, they referred me to an enclosed TGA Newsletter, which featured an article on Colloidal Silver, entitled "Colloidal Silver is a health risk". It seems that the Complementary Medicines Evaluation Committee 'found' that there is "no evidence" to support therapeutic claims, no legitimate therapeutic use for Colloidal Silver when the "potential for toxicity" is taken into account. It claims the "modern antibiotics are more effective and microbes can develop resistance to silver, just as to antibiotics". Well, I have not come across any microbe that was able to 'resist' dying for silver!! Further, the report mentioned that real old 'tale' of Argyria, to try to put fear into the readers.
I hope you don't mind but my response to the TGA is included here for your reading. Your support and feedback will be most appreciated.

     I am in receipt of your letter dated the 8th of October 1999. I must admit that I am perplexed as to why you would feel the need to write to me about this matter, as I am perplexed as to how you, of all people can be so misinformed on this subject.
     Therefore, it is difficult to know just where to start with my response to your missive, it is so filled with misinformation and dis-information.
     Perhaps we should start with the leaflet. Last year, following a meeting with the TGA in Melbourne, we changed the labels on the bottles, deleting ALL references to what Colloidal Silver is, what it can do etc.. Although we did not agree to the reasons why this should be done, we agreed to do it and so we did – immediately.
     The leaflet in question is in no way attached to the product. It is not sold with the bottles of Silver. It does not 'promote' Nature's Treasures Colloidal Silver specifically. It is supplied separately, free, for those who wish to have information about Colloidal Silver in general. As such, and as I am under the impression that we still live in a society and a country that allows freedom of speech, and that includes the written word, and as I am speaking only the truth, I am not aware of breaking any rules or laws.
     Now let's get specific, as per your letter. The items you mention, are not even specifically our words. They appear, in almost the same context, in thousands of books and literature on this subject, as well as on thousands of web-sites around the globe. In fact, just one search engine alone, come up with 8965 web sites, that ALL had basically the same information.
     We at least try to put it into better context, by trying to explain that there is more to ill health then simply killing 'bugs'.
     Now, Gentlemen, as to your article in your Newsletter that you referred me to. I cannot put it any more civilly, than I have never read so much 'poppycock' and misinformation.
     Where your 'Complementary Medicines Evaluation Committee' got that 'finding' from, well, the mind boggles. OK, I know that all your guidelines and information comes via the 'experts' in the employ of the major pharmaceutical corporations. I am even aware that the 'complaint' and some of this misinformation may have come from a disgruntled Melbourne company that was trying to 'patent' a method of making Colloidal Silver [with the financial backing of a pharmaceutical corporation], but surely, they could have come up with some better garbage than this!
     Do they seriously expect anyone to believe them? The most laughable line of that article was the last: "On the current evidence, . . . " What EVIDENCE? All the evidence is to the contrary. The real evidence, that is.
     Many of us, around the world, have been living with, working with Colloidal Silver, for decades. Some of these people [myself not included], are eminent scientists, researchers, professors. Their only distinction is that they are not employed or funded by any pharmaceutical company, therefore, their work is unbiased and untainted. They have no motive, except the TRUTH.
     Gentlemen, let's acknowledge some facts: The pharmaceutical industry is a 17 trillion dollar industry. This industry survives and grows only with the use and development of PATENTABLE chemicals.
Natural substances are NOT patentable.
The chemical substances they are providing are toxic and are injurious to the human system in both the short and long term.
They don't care – that's where the money is!
Chemical antibiotics continue to fail, mutations of bacteria and virus continue to develop.
Pharmaceutical corporations continue to use the same tactics as those employed by the Tobacco corporations, those of blatant misinformation, misleading research. They have the added advantage of being able to use FEAR as well. Like your statement "The risk to consumers outweighs any value in trying an unsubstantiated treatment".
     What risk? Unsubstantiated by whom?
     I have, with hundreds of other researchers, tried to find a 'limit' with Silver. In fact, Gentlemen, at the time most of us decided to undergo rigorous 'overdosing' with Colloidal Silver, to find our 'safe' limit, our Silver was still pretty 'rough'. Today, most of us [not all], know how to produce consistently fine, .001 to .01 micron size particles of silver. Back when most of us experimented with limits, we were producing fairly large particles, clearly visible to the naked eye.
     You can find various researches, ranging from 6 to 18 months period each, with intakes of 100 to 250ml daily, conducting regular, rigorous testing for ANY residue or buildup in the physiology. There was NEVER ANY! Zero side-effects. Many of us have been taking Silver for over 20 years. You want side effects? How about never getting cold or flu's or if a flu did take, how about getting rid of it in two days? How is that for a side effect?
     How about the 'side effect' of eating something 'off', starting to get sick and one small drink of Colloidal Silver instantly settling everything? Would you consider that a side effect? No more 'Bali belly'?
     Around the World, we have hundreds of thousands of affidavits and clinical papers to PROVE the safe and highly effective results with Colloidal Silver. I don't suppose you are interested in 'investigating' those? After all, they don't carry any stamp of approval from your friendly neighborhood pharmaceutical corporation. Nevertheless, that is the truth. Now, getting back to specifics. What does the leaflet in question say, that is not universally known, that can be found now everywhere. Thousands of internet sites, magazine articles, advertisements and so on.
     Yes, some of those are commercially 'biased' and can be misleading. Yes, some of the Silver machines people are selling and buying are primitive and some I consider less than safe. All the more reason to ENCOURAGE someone like us, that has the research and knowledge to give the right advice, not to mislead for commercial reasons.
     Oh – as to 'Argyria'! What a crock! The last case of Argyria was in the 1950's, when probably the last batch of MEDICAL silver was used – not today's Colloidal Silver, the old, chemically produced silver, the same that was used by doctors around the turn of the century, until about 1920. It was a 'dirty' concoction, it was terribly expensive yet it saved many people. It did sometimes cause Argyria but there are only two recorded cases that were not reversed after a time. Only one remains alive, they are still using the 'ogre' of this to try to frighten us little children. Check it out. See for yourself.
     There are Doctors, in major hospitals around the world, that INJECT Colloidal Silver into patients with severe burns, as well as applying the usual Silver compound onto the wounds – with wonderful and remarkable results.

     Gentlemen, just what is it that you want me to do? I will do anything I can to help you out of your dilemma, as I did last year – just don't ask me to stop telling the truth. That is my only motivation in what I do.
     Let me repeat – the leaflets in question are not attached to any product, they do not promote any particular product. The words on the leaflet are not mine, with the exception of the section on the back, entitled "The causes of ill health". The only 'thing' the leaflet promotes [apart from the truth], is a Newsletter, in a small section, on the back.
     So, what exactly am I doing 'wrong' in your eyes, when put in this context?
